Glass Fence Mixed media, 790 x 300 x 330 (mm), 2021
Individuals have become closer than ever before thanks to the Internet. We also have unwelcome connections and live in a world where we are
more suspicious of others than we used to be. The stress that comes with having such a connection can be overwhelming for an individual.
In a world where it is difficult to avoid forcibly forming ties with many others, we need our own space where we can hide even for a short space of time.
A condition of enjoying space is sitting alone on a park bench in relaxation, both physically and mentally. When someone sits next to the bench, however, it is comparable to disturbing the peace; it is more than just giving up the seat next to them. If you walk around the alley, you'll notice things that are common. To keep criminals out, a concrete fence was built with glass fragments stacked on top to deter them from entering. These glass fragments clearly show the purpose of inflicting physical injury beyond the simple role of deterring others from invading personal space.

They desire to safeguard their space at any costs, including hurting others. Individuals, on the other hand, will always be another person to others and will never be free of exclusionary actions by others. Glass fragments with razor-sharp edges appear to be facing both others and me at the same time. If I step out of that space even a little, the pieces of glass turn towards me. It's a space where only I can sit and stand, where I'm secured from others
