Data Ecosystem Kinetic Painting, 2019
As can be seen from the title of the work <Digital Ecosystem>, I looked at the digital world as an independent 'ecosystem' and focused on how to visualize this ecosystem.'Occurrence' can be expressed as the way in which one thing becomes larger and more complex until it becomes a certain shape as another is added. <Digital Ecosystem> divides the screen into 4 divisions and shows the scene where the particles of the cell image continuously multiply.

This is similar to the image of the initial division process of the parent cell. Since the same unit's image is duplicated in four directions, it may be called 'occurrence'. In the same but symmetrical, different directions on a plane made up of quadrants, the images reproduced and drawn look like cells, so it can be seen that another life or existence is 'born' in the digital world. The act of exchanging the red puck during performing is an act of signal transmission, which is the most basic act performed in the digital world. Through those actions, an organic pattern of data, that is, an ecosystem, is created in the digital space. Try to express this as Patternize fractions of data.
I tried to make a furniture frame based on the pattern of the Data Ecosystem. In order to maintain its organic form and symmetrical structure, 'Pop Pipe' was used to express the curvature of various angles to produce a frame that is the basis. After that, the sample frame was produced using a 3D printer after the shape was reconstructed using 3D scanning technology. By filling in the empty space of the base pattern with various materials, I experimented with materials and structures that would be suitable for a new type of frame.
